James & Faith - 49 years |
James C. Chidester, 72, of Camp Hill, passed away Monday, March 8, 2010 at the Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg, PA.
He was born February 15, 1938 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of the late Charles J. & Helen Schrand Chidester.
James was a retired Senior Vice President with Automated Wagering and had also worked with the FBI in the Washington DC office. He was a graduate of George Washington University, Washington, DC and a member of the West Shore Elks Lodge. James enjoyed golfing, traveling and retirement, but above all enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends on Cape Cod and at its beaches.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Faith H. (Higgins) Chidester. His son: J. Mark Chidester, of Camp Hill. His daughters: Vickie L. Crouse, of Dillsburg and Cheryl C. Hogan, of Mechanicsburg. His Stepmother: Opal A. Thompson, of Fountain Hills, AZ. His grandchildren: Donald R. Crouse III, Bradley C. Crouse, Lauren M. Chidester, Emily R. Chidester and Caitlin A. Chidester. His sisters: Mary K. Lawrence, of Virginia Beach, VA and Eileen J. Covert, of Richmond, VA. He was predeceased by his brother William J. Chidester.
Services will be held Friday, 6:00 pm, March 12, 2010 at the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut Street, Dillsburg, PA. A viewing will be held Friday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
