Steven M. King, 46, of Dillsburg, passed away Friday, March 5, 2010, at the Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.

He was born September 4, 1963, in Carlisle, the son of June E. (Byers) King of Dillsburg and the late Ernest S. King.

Steve was employed in the Maintenance Department of Messiah College, Grantham. He was a member of the American Legion Post #26, Dillsburg and was a member of the Dillsburg Fish and Game Assoc. Steve enjoyed hunting and photographing wildlife.

He is survived along with his mother by four brothers, John R. of Mechanicsburg, William E. of Dallastown, David E. of Manchester, Paul D. of Dillsburg; and three sisters, Sharon L. Funt of Wellsville, Sandra J. Sheaffer and Shirley L. Hawkins, both of Dillsburg. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg with the Rev. Charles Milliken officiating. Burial will be held in the Barrens Salem Union Cemetery, Dillsburg. Viewings will be held Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
